"What? What did I forget?" she asked. The pact... The words echoed in her head. "You didn't think I went back on our promise, did you? Some jerk you are."

Her sudden anger was uncharacteristic. Her eyes flashed. And then she started to over. Like she always did when she was angry. She didn't care. At that moment, she just wanted him to leave her alone. How dare he think that!

"I'm the jerk? I'm the jerk!" Dyaln yelled back at her. "How am I the jerk when I had no control over me getting sent to Westpoint or you getting sent to Gallagher. I'm not a jerk for that. And I wouldn't think that you went back on your promise, until I had that you vanished from Gallagher a week before I graduated Westpoint. What was I supposed to think other then that you went back on your word. Unless some magic deity came in and stole you from the school, what would you expect me to believe?" Dylan asked her the look of disbelief in his eyes.

"You're a jerk for thinking I'd go back on a promise at all!" Rebel yelled. "And if you must know, yes, some magic deity did come and carry me away. THAT'S WHY I WAS MIA!"

Rebel was literally off the counter now. She wasn't even in a sitting position. She was standing in the air above him.

"And I was taken to a place where I was safer," she said, angry. "I was taken to a place where I could survive. Where I met the most amazing guy who happens to be in the trailer out there, alone. Because I..." She flopped back down and looked at the door. "Because I want to protect him and here I am leaving him in danger!"

She tried to get to the door.

Dylan flicked his wrist and a shuriken flew to the door lodgind itself in the wood right in front of her. He wasn't inteding to kill her, not tonight. He walked over to her and pulled the shuriken out of the door. "You're not the only demigod spy around here, Rebecca. And while this isn't over, for now I'm going to leave you be." He said to her in a calmer tone. He opened the door and quickly gathered all of his things. He was at the gate when he turned back to see her. " Be expecting a delivery in the form of the a** that shot you. If I don't kill him first." He said to her and then left without a trace.

She watched him leave. "He's a demigod... too?"

She yelled after him, "AND THE NAME IS REBEL! DON'T YOU EVER FORGET IT, DYLAN!"

She walked back to the trailer to find Jake. "Everything is fine. The gunshot was taken care of... And we need to leave. Now."

"Things," Rebel said vaguely. She tried to hide the bandaged shoulder. And avoided eye contact. "An old friend thought it'd be funny to try nd kill me."

Dylan returned to the house with an injured person held in his arms. He silently got up on the roof of the trailer and walked over to the front door. He took out the note he wrote to Rebecca, and tied it to the man's wrist. He dropped him on the ground. The man hit with a thud and he groaned in pain. Dylan jumped down from the trailer and walked away thinking of the words he wrote in the letter.

'I'm sure you won't believe me after what just happened. But I'm sorry for doubting you, Rebecca. You can hate me if you want to, I wouldn't expect any less from you anyway. I shouldn't have thought that you would go back on your promise, but my nature got the better of me. I mean, I'm the son of the god of Revenge, it's in my blood. But I'll leave you alone. I can't be sure, but I would like to think that you are searching for your mom at the moment. If so then I'll be helping you. Just like we promised. But after recent events I'll be helping from the shadows at a distance. Be expecting deliveries from time to time, of what I can find.

"Um..." rebel didn't know how to answer. But she heard footsteps. "Come on. I hear someone."

And she ducked out the trailer. She saw Dylan. And the body. She screamed, "JAKE STAY IN THERE!"

And she knew he'd disobey her...

Dylan turned back and looked up at Rebecca and her boyfriend. "He's the guy that put the bullet in your shoulder. Check his wrist....Rebel.." Dylan said and then walked away without a backwards glance.

"If you want me to never speak to you again, go ahead," Rebel challenged. She ran to he body. "This isn't right... He;s got a tatoo on his neck..."

She saw the note and read it. She gained a sad look. She sniffed and started to cry.

Dylan walked dow the street about a block away from the house. His destination was back to the house that his stepfather, Hector had stayed at one point. He knew the house hadn't been touched for years cause Hector never wanted anyone to own it and find out what he had there. So he just payed the bill on it and nothing about it ever changed.

Dylan continues walking until he sees the house. After a few moments he is inside with little trouble and walking around. "Could've hired a maid to dust this place, Hector." He said to himself sa he noticed all the dust in the building. He continued walking until he came to the second story and a room filled with high-tech stuff. Coumputers, minature radios, and all sorts of other stuff that a covert operations agent could need. "Well now. I take back what I said about the maid." He muttered.
