I walk in, seeing the others. My father quickly fixed my bullet wound and sent me to my trailer. The fire roared with songs and dances. I had forgotten it was my birthday. More importantly my 15th birthday. In gypsy culture that meant i was old enough to marry. In puerto rican culture, it meant i was a woman. I fixed myself up in my gypsy dress and joined the festivities. After dancing, eating and singing, everyone went to their trailers. Everyone but me. I stayed outside, looking at the night, half thinking of my mother and the other half about Trevor. I slowly fell asleep.
